Food was very disappointing. I ordered chicken supreme which was tasteless. The side order was charged extra which left the meal very expensive.

Food gets worse everytime we visit for some reason. Goujons were absolutely inedible this time, so won’t be back. Far too expensive for what you’re served. Not particularly good service.

The staff were lovely, the food was tasty. The french vegetable soup was full of flavour, good portions too. The location is brilliant with ample free parking and an amazing coastal view. Will definitely come back if we're in the area.

Beautiful views, easy to book, reasonably priced, most of the food really nice. Cocktails we tried were delicious. All of the staff were so friendly, professional & attentive. Really lovely atmosphere. The chicken curry and goujons were OK. The prawn crackers were a bit tough and the goujons would be great if were available in fresh coating or batter. 2 of our party loved the chicken maryland. Would definitely try again. We were seated upstairs (5*) but unsure if lift for wheelchair access. The restaurant, staff and chefs are a credit to the owner... who may have been there. Everyone was lovely 😊

Was looking forward to it but when food.was served was over-cooked ordered fillet steak was disappointed on this visit and would put me off in future returning. Manager did try her best to rectify.

Service, food and prices excellent. Party of seven, including two children and we all enjoyed the 3 courses for cost of main meal. Great deal, will visit again. Served the best pint of Guinness all week. Only disappointment was not getting a table with a sea view. Visited again on Sunday 9 February. Unfortunately no promotions on price and service slow with the staff working flat out.

This was a special meal for the bride,groom, and father of the bride. £26 for a 10oz sirloin,burnt on one side and a lot of gristle. I complained, leaving the gristle on the plate. I spoke with the waiter and manager, and they gave me a 10% discount. Yes, they did check back, but at the time I hadn't reached the gristle. After a heated debate where I presumed they would remove the price of the steak but sadly only 10% discount. Tuesday night, and the place was empty by 6:30. Afraid bad experience, personally the chef needs to brush up on his cooking skills. This is just my personal opinion from my own experience.

This is the nosiest kitchen I have ever heard the chef shouting at the top of his voice, if you’re going to go make sure you take a table upstairs we couldn’t hear ourselves think. Never again

Update review: Went to tide again last week and it will probably be the last time. As always that young guy with the brown hair was lovely and just perfect. However the blonde girl without the uniform who is probably in charge is just downright rude and very unpleasant! She never makes eye contact when talking to my wife and I, does not say thanks when we paid nor did she apologize for the massive issue with the food. The food I got was a surf and turf. I asked for medium/rare and I got well done(grey from end to end) which is a ruined fillet steak. I nicely said that it was overcooked and I had to show it cut a few times to convince them??? Unreal. I gave the plate back, they took it away and I had to wait another 20 mins for my next surf and turf to be delivered to my table. I could NOT believe when they set Infront of me. They set an empty plate with on fillet steak Infront of me and with none of the sides (broccoli, pepper sauce, garlic prawns or anything). I sat there for 5 mins thinking they must be bringing me out the sides, but NOOOOO they were only going to give me the steak with nothing else. I had to stop that friendly gentleman and tell him the problem. He apologised right away and within a few mins I got everything else that was missing. However at least the steak this time was actually medium/rare. This was a diabolical night, food and service was just awful and like before that hostess was rude. Photo of what they presented to me is attached (plate with just a steak)to see the lack of care and audacity of some staff. Very unprofessional.... (Original review) The young guy that served us was friendly and did a decent job. Unfortunately he forgot my kids started and she got her starter 10 mins after us. Our food was lovely and the steak was cooked a perfect medium/rare. However the blonde girl mid 20s without uniform (maybe manager) was super unfriendly and did not smile, say thanks or behave pleasantly in any way.

Husbands meal 1st class. I chose curry. What a mistake . It was disgusting. Fried rice soggy, chicken tough and 7 chips were saturated in curry sauce. First bad meal in Tides

We reserved a table and were let in on time. When greeted at the door, the last didn't even look up our direction and gave us basic questions with no smile and was generally quite rude. We went upstairs to our table and the seating was very cramped and felt like our two seater table shouldn't belong. The server was again, not welcoming and just cared about getting us out within the 1.5hr window which we were given. The food came quickly, however it wasn't good. I ordered a 10oz steak and asked for it medium rare, the steak came out as medium-well done, which was disappointing, dry and no spices or flavour added. The pepper sauce was very watery and no flavour. As a side, which we had to order separately cost us another £4 each and I ordered the salt chilli chips. They were just too salty to eat and i couldn't eat anymore. Overall, very loud, busy but not worth the money. I was with my fiancé and each steak was £28 plus sides £4 and then drinks. It was not worth the money at all. Don't plan to be back. Quite disappointing.

Went today for their Christmas menu. I had a turkey dinner which was fine. My wife ordered Roast fig and camembert tart. It was poor to say the least more salad leaves than anything else and certainly not worth £21.95 when we were paying waitress asked was everything ok and I said no and expressed my concerns but she had no interest in listening to them. Said to her again but she still had no interest so I paid my bill and left rather disgusted

Never fails to deliver. Great food, good portion sizes, friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere and amazing views over the golf course and sea. This is now a regular spot for our family.

I absolutely love Tides! It’s my favourite place to eat out! I have one small suggestion to make regarding the menu, my favourite is the 8oz rump steak, (I like it cooked medium and the chefs cook it to perfection, every single time!) but, could the menu be modified and have the tobacco onions substituted with either asparagus or tender stem broccoli or other seasonal vegetables? This is the only thing that stops me giving 5 stars all around as I think others might like this aspect of the menu modified too! 💛

Waited an hour for meals to arrive. The meal was not as hot as we would have liked. Yorkshire pudding over cooked, when cut into, it disintegrated. Service could be better, very little interaction. We ate because we were hungry and didn't want to have to wait any longer. To be fair the setting is wonderful, very clean and prices very reasonable. Disappointed.
